Japanese cabinet voltage question

Can someone please help me? I just ordered a Japanese Atomiswave cabinet and want to use it here in the states. Do I need a voltage converter? Or will the cab work just fine on 120 volts? Also, should I be using a surge protector with my arcade cabinet's? If yes, is there a good one out there? Thanks!

It should already have an adjustable power supply with integrated fuse/fusible link.

All japanese consumer electronics work on US outlets as far as I know.

You should be fine.

Be careful there, spanky. Before you rip ass into plugging it in get a voltmeter and make sure the voltages are correct coming off the powersupply.

My guess is that they'll be a little low, but double check and disconnect the harness from the motherboard before testing.
