seem to get the blood to come up the blood

switched it to japanese but still nothing
then I tried that code where you hold
start go into the option screen then you
go to exit and press ABCD but that did not work
any one who owns this game ever expirence this
or is there no blood available. by the
way the korean name for SIV is
"LEGEND OF A WARRIOR"

Is the title always 'Legend of the Warrior' regardless of the region set?

Would it be possible for a picture of the title screen? I can host it and link it here. (albeit small though :) )

there is no possibility for blood, or to regain the missing voices.

You can ask someone to replace the bad korean rom chips for you. I can't do it, but there are some people that can.

Hi thanks for the reply evilwasabi
I kinda figured you could not get
the blood to come up red after
trying that code and also because
it's the korean version, would it
be worth it to have the korean rom
chips replaced w/real ones I think
JM kurtz could probaly do it I just
have to find out how much.Oh ya
and Clear Paper w/ this korean cart by
defalt its has the korean characters
and then under that it has the title
"Legend of a Warrior" regardless of
region of your system this is the title
it defaults on. I would like to help you
out but unfortunatley I do not have a
digital camera on hand

you'd need to buy the MVS cart, which runs for $20~40 on ebay. Then ask JMKurtz, Victor Corona (NeoGeo2k2) or someoone like that to help.

Clear Paper:
Is this cart a home cart or an MVS? I'm quite intrigued by it.
It's a home cart. Basically there were a bunch of Korean homecarts amde between 1995 and 1996, including, but probably not limited to:

Samurai Shodown 4
King of Fighters 96
Savage Reign

But to describe the SSIV in more detail, they removed all Japanese voice samples - only grunts, cries, and indecipherable noises were left over. That means there would be no voice over for the intro, but rather than have an intro like that, they just axed it altogether. Then there's only white blood - no red blood, and fatalities, none.

It's a great game for people that think SSIV is the best of the series. They can finally hear how great the soundtrack is, with no distractions from teh voice samples.

And it sounds great like a tub of shit.

But as for the other korean games, I'm not sure how they were modified. I typically avoid English carts - less heartache. But I doubt anything that bad could be done to Savage Reign. KoF 96 on the other hand...

Sounds quite butchered. I'd very much like to see a screenshot of the Korean SS4 title screen though. Google doesn't bring up anything. ah well...
