I'm trying to get my Pioneer LD-717 player fixed.

I tried getting it repaired locally, but they said they couldn't get the part to fix it (apparently it has something to do with the laser assembly).

I tried contacting Kurtis Bahr, and he said the model was too old for him to do anything with.

I want to fix this player so I can use it to record video footage from LaserActive discs. I've discovered that later player models will recognize the formats and refuse to play them, but older ones will run them just fine (so far the LD-717 is the only one I've found that will).
