yi.m converting a street fighter 2 for a favor for a local shop - it's a stock cab, and the mortal kombat 2 jamma connector is like a good millimeter too wide for the connector. anyone ever run into this problem before?

I have had connectors that were just too tight for the jamma edge...

I either wore down the edge, or busted up the connector.

You could always trim the board if it's too wide. But that's really up to you on that one.

Is it the original jamma edge connect socket or has it been replaced at some stage.

There is a gauge of socket that is almost but not quite the same as the standard jamma (from my experience they are usually blue in colour) - in that case filing 0.5 -1.0 mm from each side on the pcb fixes it. Not a nice hack :spock: but it works.

Its more the socket being too narrow than the board being too wide

I wouldn't go filing/sanding your PCB's. Replace the connector.
