MV-1B MVS/supergun help needed desperately...

Sorry for the panic, but I am lost. I have a hyper Neo 64 motherboard hooked up to a supergun from MAS Systems. It works fine and I have had no problems. A day ago, I had received a used MV-1B MVS 1-slot I had purchased on Ebay. The games run fine on it, but I have no control now. The joystick on my controller sends no signal, and the buttons send joystick signals. For example, when I hit the A button, it gives me a joystick "up" signal (the character jumps in fighting games). I assumed it would be like the Hyper motherboard, just plug in the large JAMMA cable and play. But I cannot get my controllers to work with this MV-1B motherboard. Is there something I need to do with the 8 switches by the DIP switch? Do I need to plug in the 8-pin connector??? Also , does this sound like a problem with the motherboard? I want to leave him good feedback, but I am not sure if something is not working on this 1-slot...

Any answers, suggestions, ideas, or theories would be greatly appreciated...

The mv-1b motherboard you have is for use with the irritating maze kit. To be able to use it with regular mvs games, you will have to replace the bios.

Thank you Neo Geo 2 for a direction in this. I think I have read about this before, but I still have no idea what to do. If somebody can, please explain this in many, simple steps as I have no tech knowledge. Most importantly, what exactly is the bios (a chip?), where can I get the proper one for the regular MVS games, and is it possible for someone with no tech experience to install this? If not, is there anyone that can do this work? Also, an estimate price for the bios would be helpful. I thought this was a good deal for $100, but I am already regretting it. Again, any and all info on how I can go about fixing this would be greatly appreciated...

The Bios is a bitch to change on the Mv-1B.

The BIOS Is this chip on the main board:

You can buy another BIOS, but you will have to find an adaptor so it will fit into where the old one is:

If you have little or no expirence with a soldering iron, I wouldnt recomend trying this. I Have a larger old version 1 slot that i would trade for yours and some $$$.

That's not completely true. People have 1B boards that work fine with the standard bios.

of course the standard bios works fine, but the chip on the B board is a different package type, surface mounted.

I just spoke with the seller, and he assures me the board works fine with his supergun. If anyone has any other theories, I would appreciate it. I also need the two above posts to be translated. Is it possible for my (supernova) supergun to be compatible with my Hyper 64 board and not the MVS...?

This is the Mv-1b kit for irritating maze for sure.

Either the seller sent you the wrog one, or is lying and trying to get rid of it.

The seller is offering a refund, and sounds honestly confused by all this. He wants to send me a video of him playing on it, just so I will believe him. My real question now is, is it possible for one supergun to control fine with this bios and not another. Or would the Irritating Maze set-up botch the controls for any normal MVS JAMMA system? Also, is it true that many of the 1B models have been rewired for Irritating Maze? If I buy another 1B, what are my chances of this happening again...?

Call up Massystems and ask for Tao(rhymes with pow). I'm getting a Super Nova from him, and I sent him my MV-1B board because he said their is a minor modification that is necessary for me to play MVS games on the supergun. He can also install a new bios chip for you.
