So couple weeks ago I was playing ms3 with my kid, when suddenly sound stop working , after power it off and on ... The z80 error...

So this one is giving me headaches, the only thing I get is "z80 system error"
( w unibios) stock bios just shows z80 error.

Unfortunately I don't have diag bios, and no equipment to burn it...

So i replaced the sm1 and 6116 ram, and the ym3016 ...same error...

Then replaced the z80 from a broken mv1b, same error ...
But im not sure if that z80 was good...

So i removed again the z80 , but this time i f# some pads ( 8 actually) ...

I was abled to solder 6 small wires
( theres 2 more pads, but those dont seem to have any conection to anywhere (looking at the pinout)
23 BUSACK
28 RFSH
but this is going to be messy trying to solder the same size z80...

I'm looking to replace with an z80a ( as it should be) but in an bigger "form factor " and w a socket.
( i'll just wire the board tracks to a little breadboard w socket )

Edit: just ordered four Z80A's from UK

Zilog Z0840004PSC ( the same z80a DIP that my 4th slot haves) let's see

Any recommendations for a logic probe with audio capabilities ?
( not too expensive) this would make life easier and to determine if the issue is on the analog or digital part

Thx
