So.. continuing on.
This mod is for the 4 slot Neo header used on the Neo 25/29.
Again I used qty 2 HP df1010p1 frames.
First step is to remove front cover, and remove plexi glass and key support plate:
At this point you can open up the back and remove the light box, snip the wires etc..
I held the frame in place temporarily with some tape so I could line it up with front cover. (you want the frame high enough that it will clear the tabs at the bottom of the front cover) I marked where the corners of the frame were on the cab with a marker.
When satisfied apply a good quality double sided tape:
On the back of the LCD screens you will want to peel up the backing covering the ribbon cable about 3/4 of an inch. Enough so the cable clears and can enter the slot openings. Mount both screens using the double sided tape:
I then removed all pcb components and mounted them behind the screens with double sided tape as shown. IR sensor cables were extended, and I mounted the sensors inside the speaker grills. (you will have to remove header assembly to get speakers out).
I soldered the light box 120 to a cheap 3 outlet extension. Plugged in adapters and then secured adapters to cab with more ... double sided tape:
Done:
Results, and you can see how I pull and put the front cover back on in the video. If you have a lock assembly on your cab, you may want to assemble the lock while cover is in place:
