I am working on cleaning up a Neo 29 4 Mini Marquee Type that I received recently. I was under the impression that these were wired for MVS, and would explain the weird behavior of a jamma board when the previous owner powered it up with one to show me it worked.
So I just acquired a Neo 4 slot mobo and plugged it in for the first time. The aforementioned odd behavior is gone and the screen is fine, but I am getting a very loud audible "hiss/white noise" from the speakers.
Even when the "speaker" fader on the mobo is turned all the way down I still get the loud white noise, and the volume of the game itself seems EXTREMELY amplified. Its very loud even when the fader is just barely turned up, I would say no more than 5-10%. I did not let it run for long because I was worried I was going to blow an amp or speaker because something wasn't the original wiring.
So what do you guys think? Grounding issue? Could there be a fault on the 4 slot that Is causing it? Something else? Thanks so much guys!
