I'm proud to say that I've FINALLY managed to get all Crystal Ratings in all the Olympic games!!

Survival Mode: Crystal
100 Wins - Akari

Time Attack - Crystal
00'57"26 - Evil Ryu

First Blast - Crystal
90400pts - M. Bison

Ghost Trick - Crystal - 99990pts
Cat Walk - Crystal - 82200pts
Target 9 - Crystal - 80000pts
Blade Arts - Crystal - 94300pts

Now, the machine is taunting me to do the Survival Mode with Dan... another challenge, but I'll give it a shot one of these days.

BTW... PLEASE don't tell me that there are "Master" medals to get. To get Crystal Rankings in Blade Arts and in Survival Mode, you have to beat the game perfect. In Ghost Trick, you have to make the score go to max, which is 99990pts to get the Crystal ranking. What else could possibly be beyond this???

VERY impressive scores! Yes, there IS a Master Medal, at least for the Time Attack mode. I didn't make it up. I'm very surprised that you haven't won more of them, especially for Survival.

Ugh... I'm starting to think that in order to get the Master Medals, you'll have to be literally perfect in all the games. For instance, you'll only get the Master Medal in Survival mode if you do it with Dan... not miss a step in Catwalk on the Chun-Li level... not miss a single shot on Target 9 (a mere impossibility)... I wouldn't even begin to figure out how to get Master Medals in the Ghost Trick and Blade Arts since I've already received perfects in both of these...

*SIGH*... and I thought I finally did everything in MOTM...

Hmm... why don't you try the Time Attack mode again, and try get a score under 50 seconds. See what happens.

After hearing about the Master Medals, I went ahead and gave it a shot... sure enough! Master Medal for Time Attack using Evil Ryu...

The problem is... how high do you need to score in order to get Master Medals in the rest of these games? Especially a game like Target 9 (where getting 100% is impossible), or Blade Arts where even getting a perfect will only get you a Crystal Rating???

Maybe there aren't Master medals for every event. In Survival, only the "wins" score is recorded, and you had a perfect 100. The only possible way to get a Master for this event may be to use another character, but I think that's unlikely.

I've improved in five events. Here are my updated records:

SURVIVAL - 54 wins (Mai) / Silver
TIME ATTACK - 49.23 sec. (Nakoruru) / Master
FIRST BLAST - 71000 (Ryu) / Gold
GHOST TRICK - 68850 / Gold
CAT WALK - 28600 / Silver
TARGET 9 - 59400 / Gold
BLADE ARTS - 79500 / Platinum

Let's see some more records. I know more than 3 people here play the game.

BLADE ARTS- 76k something or another...
Survival- 53 wins (It gets so boring)
Time Attack- 1'15" (How do you guys get under one minute???)

I'll post all my records later in the day... (I'm too lazy to go get my NGPC right now...)

Well, for some characters it's just common knowledge. With Time Attack, it's easier to go through the game with a character that can do the damage. Evil Ryu packs a mean punch, so getting under a minute with him is quite easy. Same thing goes for First Blast... M. Bison's super has mad priority and covers a lot of the screen. That can also be used to your advantage.

As for the rest of the games and the Master Medal issue? I did notice a quote from Rimururu stating that if I was able to do the full Survival Mode with Dan that I would be a "real pro"... maybe that's the hint for that one.

With Catwalk? You'd probably have to do Chun-Li's level without missing a step... you don't have to get a perfect on that stage to get a Crystal Rating.

Blade Arts and Ghost Trick would have to be more on luck... maybe more green & red dummies will show up for you to slice in Blade Arts, or maybe you'll have to also catch more tresure chests in the Ghost Trick along with getting a perfect score.

Target 9? You probably need to be close to perfect with your aim, not wasting many shots. GOOD LUCK on that one! Getting above 90% with your shots is difficult enough!!

When I completed Nakoruru's Stage perfectly, I got the Platinum Rating. Finishing Chun-Li's Stage on the positive gives you a Crystal. That's why I'm guessing a perfect on this stage will get you the Master Medal.

I'm on the Nakoruru song right now. It is difficult, but I used to have problems with the second song (Dan?), so I must be improving.

Cat Walk is something you HAVE to start from the bottom and work your way up. I remember the first time I tried the game, I went directly to the middle stages (Athena) and got crunched. Nakoruru is not nearly as bad as Chun-Li, but once you get the Athena Stage down, you should be set. Then, it's all a matter of speed and memorization.

Thanks for contributing.

Personally, I've improved significantly in Cat Walk (45800 / Gold), although I'm still stuck in the Nakoruru song. I have scored perfectly in all of the previous songs. I've also improved slightly in Target 9 (66500 / Gold), and finally cleared this event. I now have at least Gold medals for all events except Survival. I usually get taken out in the match 51-55 set.

Any tips to share for this one?

The funny thing is... there is no final boss. You keep on going till you win 100 times. I was expecting Evil Ryu or Orochi Iori to be my final boss, depending on if I selected an SNK or Capcom character to do the game with. The character roster seems to repeat itself every 12 characters, so if you look at the twelve you face, remember the fourth character you'll fight for that will be your 100th combatant.

Tip for survival: till fight 30 you can do as you like, but fight around 30 to 50 its damn hard. I either shoot 10000 times or jump and atack every time. But it will get easier after fight 50, (which is my expirience) But eventually I ran out of life. Dunno if it will get harder again after fight 70+ The comp level just starts at easy then goes up then down and then ??? To achieve 100 is really good trough!

I want to play it out with Orochi Iori, altrough getting over 73 is hard, need to train some mb

And, of course, some characters are easier to use than others in this mode. The Survival Mode seems to play harder whenever you use one of the "boss characters", or charactes like Evil Ryu and Orochi Iori since you do get some extra battle bonuses by using them (stronger fireballs, more combo abilities, etc...).

To be VERY honest with you, the easiest character to do this mode with is Akari. She has a move where she sticks out her card and zaps you by pressing back on the joystick and the punch button. This move has INSANE PRIORITY and REACH. Literally, I went through most of the matches at the highest levels using this move, a few aerial stomps (in air, Down+Kick) and some slow fireballs (QCF+Punch). Give that a shot and see how far you make it...

To Laurence Blood: There is actually another medal called the "Master Medal" that you can receive in the Olympic Matches. Some of the games, of course, are easier than others. I have already MAXed out the score in the Ghost Trick, did all 100 matches in Survival Mode and obtained a perfect in Blade Arts and only managed to get a Crystal Rating for each. You'll probably have to do something "extra extroadinary" in order to get the Master Medals. Like for instance, doing all 100 matches of Survival Mode with Dan. The machine told me in one of the "Talk Sessions" that if I was to go through the mode with Dan that I would be a REAL pro. That could be a hint.

Time Attack is probably the easiest of them all if you have a character like Evil Ryu or Orochi Iori to your disposal. Getting a time under 50 seconds seems to do the trick. And on target 9, you'll probably have to destroy 100 ships without wasting a bullet... which is downright impossible.

As for the rest of the events, your guess is as good as mine...
