I hope I'm not reposting this. Apologies if I am.
Currently have a Neo Geo Pocket Color that started to intermittently shut down for no apparent reason. Today, the power button is on the fritz. After several minutes and attempts to power up the unit, the red light comes on and it works as if nothing was wrong. However, sometimes it doesn't power up at all. Batteries are fresh, so it's not a lack of power on that end as well. First instinct is that there could be some dirt or lint that needs to be cleaned from inside. But I don't know for sure. Is this sound like something I can take care of myself or is it time to get a new one? :help:

Let's hope whatever I have to do, I don't have to go through and save all of my MOTW data from the beginning... AGAIN!

Ya sounds like the button pads are dirty so it's not joining the 2 points to turn it on. Open it up and clean them with some rubbing alchohol. You will need a small phillips screwdriver as well as a triwing to open it.
