Ok guys. An ebay member sent me the following message:
if you are thinking about getting a PC-Engine Duo, Duo-R, Duo-RX, or PC-Engine w/ Super CD attachment to play cd-rom games; make sure you get a japanese transformer to convert 120v -> 100v.
In the United States the power outlet is 120v. In the Japan the power outlet is rated at 100v. If you plugin a PC-Engine Duo in a U.S. outlet, the cd-rom games may experience sound problems and will seriously damage it beyond repair.
Of course this does not apply to PC-Engine consoles that play hucards only such as the white PC-Engine, Core Grafx, and Core Grafx II.
Can someone here shed some light on this.Is it true?I just got myself a Duo-RX and wouldn't like it to get messed up.
thanks in advance guys.
