Hello All,

I am looking for a Japanese BIOS ROM for my Sega NAOMI. I have been waiting to get my setup running for SFZ3 Upper, but forgot I had a US BIOS. So I am in a hurry, I am hoping someone in the Washington DC/Baltimore area has one, or can burn one.

Also I am looking for an AMP 3-P connector and pins to use with a SUN PSU for my NAOMI.

Thanks

Are you talking about the AC connector coming off the Sun PSU? If you don't want to wait for shipping on connectors you can always desolder that and replace it with a 3-prong power cable.

Yeh I was talking about that stubby power connector on the Sun PSU. I was hoping someone in the DC Area would have the ROM and AMP connectors so I could buy them in a hurry. I ordered some from AndyGeezer on the Sega-Naomi forums. I am just stuck waiting on them coming from the UK. I was trying to hurry so that I could get positive feedback to the people I bought the NAOMI MB and GD-ROM setups from. I have no Cart based games, so I can't prove all that stuff works until I get the BIOS and fire it all up together. I didn't want to butcher the original power supply cable when I could just get the original connector, it was all a matter of hurrying it up.

cheers.

Just for future reference, its cheaper and probably quicker in the long run to buy American since you're in Virginia.
Andy Geezer is a nice guy, but dealing with his site is kind of weird and international shipping can be expensive. I've had good luck with Southtown Homebrew.

As for the connectors and pins you can find all of them on digi-key very cheap and they ship quickly.
Here's the 6 & 8 position connectors and JST pins for example:

http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=455-2377-1-ND

I don't remember what the 3-pin AC connector looks like so I'm not sure which one on Digi-key is the one you need.

Good luck getting your Naomi up and going.

I already sent you the power cable...

... and I'm pretty sure I mentioned Ken at irepairsega.com (stateside, old Sega employee)

There's also quite a few NAOMI BIOS on ebay right now.

We can close this thread. I got the parts I needed and the NAOMI is working fine.

I opened this because I wanted to find the parts locally and get this running sooner. I didn't mind getting doubles so I could get it fired up. Nobody local answered so I waited for the others I ordered to show up.

thanks
