Hey guys, I just received my first jap. NGH.... :glee:

Now, I have a problem, I don't have a stepdown converter from 230V to the AES... The original ac adaptor uses 10V and 850mA output at 100V power input. My Genesis (Mega Drive) ac adaptor for use with 230V input uses exactly the same output with 10V and 850mA.

The only difference is that +<- symbol.

My SNk ac uses +<- and my Genesis +>- ...

Would that burn my AES or can I use the Genesis adaptor without getting a stepdown converter?

Thanks for help... Patrick

Sh....t, I doesn't need any answer, as I just realized that my Genesis AC adaptor does not fit in the power supply of my AES....

Darn... I need a stepdown converter... :oh_no:

Don't use the Megadrive adaptor, the symbols you mention are polarity, if they are different it won't work and it is possible to damage the console.
Just look for an universal european (220V) adaptor that offers that specs and plug, and be sure to have the correct polarity.
