PVM and scart to bnc converter

Hi,

I just bought a PVM (yess) 20N2E and I want to plug both my AES (with scart) and my CMVS (with VGA, due to scan line generator).

For scart, can someone confirm that this adapter will be OK http://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/female-rgb-break-out-scart-to-4-x-bnc--2-x-rca-for-sony-pvm-monitors.html?

For the VGA, has someone already tried with a vga to BNC? which one, what result. I know it will be MUCH better to get RGB signals from MOBO, but I have no time now to spend on that.

For scart to BNC that cable should be fine.

You don't want or need a scan line generator with a PVM, and most PVMs cannot handle VGA (31khz). They are 15 KHZ only except for the L5 series and possibly some other "newer" ones.

How are you getting the video out of your CMVS to begin with?

Hi,

are you sure, cause it is written "Not compatible with the Sony PVM2030 monitor which use a 25pin d-sub input referred to as the CMPTR connector". I know that I don't need it but I wanted to get my CMVS on it.

the 2030 does not use BNC for RGB inputs, that's why it says that.

Your monitor should have BNC inputs and not need the CMPTR connector like the 2030 would.

It's the 25 pin connector on the left.
