Questions about DC Mars Matrix (Jap)

I was interested in picking up a copy of Mars Matrix for the DC, but I was just wondering if the Japanese version has option menus in English? Also, does anyone know of compatibility issues when using the DC-X boot disc to run this game on a pal DC?

Yes, all the options are in English in the Japanese version.
