Back in 2005, I bought my dad that complete collection. When I go home, i'm going to read that whole collection. Calvin And Hobbes was my childhood! I want to introduce this to my Korean students before I leave!

I tried showing it to my dad a couple times, but he always hated it. :(

It sounds like they're making the movie WITHOUT having Watterson getting involved himself...

it's probably going to be 90 minutes of C&H fans circlejerking over the comic and how it's art and talk about how it ended because of a creative decision and blahblahblah

It's like trying to scratch an itch that you can't reach.

Is that the comic strip where that penguin/puffin and that tweaker cat, used all the world's money to form an asteroid barrier around the earth, made of dollar bills? That shit was purtty funnie.

We only have 2 collections of Calvin & Hobbes strips (Lazy Sunday and Tenth Anniversary) in our flat, but they have been and are read often. Very good stuff. The documentary, not at all exited about it... Sage said it all, sounds like a huge *meh* fest.

btw. thanks rabbit for posting that one, good advice from the man (again).

Well, he's certainly taking the credit for that strip.

it appears to me that the artist, named so in the bottom left hand corner, just took bill's quote and copied bill's style.

Yeah, you're right. Now I see the artist's signature at the bottom right and the year at bottom left.
