Well son of a bitch this came out of nowhere...

M2 is handling the port of this to the Switch.

If it's M2 doing the work I literally can only hope this is coming stateside since I've always wanted an official release of Secret of Mana 3.

P.S. Loving that fucking Artwork. The only way this would be 100% perfect is they added Secret of Evermore as a fucking bonus...

Secret of Evermore was never released in Japan, right?

Will it get a U.S. release?

If this gets released outside Japan, I'd buy it on day one.

If Secret of Evermore came as a bonus it would be fantastic.

There is literally no reason not to bring this stateside. Right now the Switch needs all the good games it can get since it's brand new and this would be a no brainer.

I'm pretty sure it didn't.

Sadly this is going to be a budget release. We most likely won't get it as I'm sure Square is not going to spend the money to localize the third game.

A. See the Switch thread. This is already extensively covered in there.

B. I can 99.9% guarantee that it's not getting a US release.

Stop being a negative nancy. This game deserved it's own thread.

@Kidpanda, I would agree but with M2's involvement which says a lot for SE letting them do the port, there's a decent amount of time that's going to be spent on this since M2 is known for adding content to games to make them really stand out. I'm pretty sure SE will get this localized.

No way this is being localized.
Keep dreaming or play it on a modded PSP like everyone else.

Even if it doesn't get an official US release, Switch is region free so you can just import it or even make a JP nintendo account to buy it. I agree 100% it's not getting localized though.

Well, considering the third game has a good fan translation and runs on a SD2SNES... we should be fine.

Yeah, my job sucks so I've been doing freelance on the side to branch out. It's kept me so busy that I haven't even played the Switch I bought a few weeks ago yet. :D But I probably will this weekend!

All I have is Zelda, so I'd love for this Secret of Mana set to get released here.

I'm holding out for this to be localized. Please Square/Enix, translate SD3. I want to give you money for this! I want to own it legitimately.

They could just take Neill Corlett/SoM2 Freak's translation, it's not like they own rights to it.

I can mess around with JRPG without knowing Japanese since PC Engine era. I'll get it as it's only $43 shipped :)

It's being handled by M2. They ported a translated version of Monster World IV (Wonder Boy 6) on the PS3. AFAIK, that game was Japan-only on Genesis. They also did a wonderful job with the NeoGeo Station releases and the 3D classic Sega titles on 3DS.

Thank god... the Gameboy one is on there, too. One of my favorite games on the system.

Man, I finished the first game probably 3-4 times on the gameboy, second best action-adventure on there after Zelda.
:lolz: Even got platinum in Adventures of Mana.
