Digging through the old threads I see a few people on here own or have owned Vewlix cabs. I am going to order one soon, and wanted to see what owners thought of them.

I plan on playing only new stuff and possibly PS3 in it. I have a pair of Q25 cabs for older JAMMA games. (Yeh I know I need something tri-sync).

I am wondering if people bought them new, or if anyone went used. I am looking at the usual suspects, RiverService, Coinop, and HighwayEntertainment. Costs are still high especially with the crap Yen exchange rate. So I am leaning towards a used Vewlix F, I like the extras you get with the F and it is the color scheme I prefer. Are the used ones in decent condition?

Thoughts? Am I going wrong.

cheers

dude fuck that, I say order a kray custom vewlix and have it fully painted and save thousands. I've seen custom kray's that are just better looking then vewlix cabs.

Only price point is a heartbeat monitor, if you don't mind a tiny fraction of delay on a home make, you wouldn't even need that...

Aren't vewlix cabs like 14 thousand a piece?
Wouldn't that money be better used buying 2 of these for under 3-4 thousand and having a dual set up.

3500 for a viewlix on coinop, it's not that bad.

dual q25's eh... both horizontal? what games do you keep in those typically? too bad they can't bump uglies and spit out a mini cute!

Definitely should get yourself a real trisync in addition to the vewlix. I like the blue color the best tbh. Red is just too much.

Yeh, The prices have come down on the Vewlix's no longer 7k each.

I bought my 2 Q25s from the East Coast group buy back in 2008 that n8og8o ran here. I have only been using one of them right now. I need to do some clean up on the second one. It fires up but it has a bad hum, either monitor or power supply. I play pretty much fighting games. I have all of the Street Fighters both CPS2 and CPS3.

So my plan is to play SF4 and Sf4AE on the Vewlix.

cheers.

I would second Kray's Vewlix, if you're planning to do consoles...I have one & people are blown away by it...

Too much work though for the lazy like me...I got mine in December & i still haven't completely finished it...

Also if you're planning to play Shit Fighter IV, dont you need 2 vewlix to play head to head?
