Could I hook up my HRAP3 to my original Xbox? Or would it need a driver or something?

You could plug it in, sure, but it wouldn't work. Only way to use that stick on Xbox1 would be to dual mod in a common ground Xbox1 pcb, or swap the existing pcb with an MC Cthulhu.
