Cathedral of Learning poking up in the pic?
'Bikeathlon' at cub scout summer camp. Mild dirt 'BMX' bike lap then BB shooting. Still working on our rifle holding, get it up! Kid has noodle arms.
Eastern Newt or Red-spotted Newt (same thing I think) and this should be the 'Red Eft' juvenile stage.

Not even close.
Couldn't tell if it was far off or just a close smokestack or something. I know you can see it (CoL) from some odd places in the city and since it's the only tall thing that direction sometimes it looks kinda solitary.

Nah, I know. I can't see anything from the city from here though. Just a smokestack on Neville Island.

Went to some old Buddhist caves in the mountains about 50km from Beijing, last Wednesday. I was the only person there, and the path up the mountain was inaccessible because of flood damage, so they started the cable cars for me.
Summer is the time for outdoor festivals!
It's brown for half a year and green for half a year. Green!

Two years ago discovered my dog loves swimming, so try to take her swimming every day in the river.
Now this is what I really like to see, this is some good old-fashioned summer fun. I really wish there were more fountains like this around Beijing. Are there are public water fountains for kids to play around where you live? Seriously, such a great idea for any city. Should be mandatory.

Nope…that building is an Air Bender!
*I rode my bike all around the building, and couldn’t see any exhaust ports. Atlantic City was really hazy at times this weekend, and a cold ocean + inland breeze + extraordinarily hot temperatures on the boardwalk= natural wizardry

Evening stroll through the abandoned state mental hospital not too far from my home. Apparently some scenes from the movie Shutter Island were filmed here.
