I MUST go here, with several duffelbags and as much money as I can get my hands on. There is one in Osaka in "Den Den Town" and one in Tokyo in the famed streets of Akihabara. The Japanese game companies must make alot of extra shit, becuase most of the systems/games here are actually new and sealed.

Wrong forum. Also, I'm pretty sure everybody already knows about this.

Supposedly it was much better 10 years ago.

I can really feel the love in this thread.

Although it may have fallen off, super potato is still far beyond most western gamers expectations of what a game store should be.

Although it was 05, I was still pretty blown away when I went there.

Its a cool shop, but their prices aren't great.

If you're planning a trip to Tokyo, go to the Nakano district and check out Mandarake Galaxy. I liked it a lot more than Super Potato and they're cheaper.

yeah its pretty much a must visit store in my book (and when I go I will visit!) mandarake is an awesome chain of stores as well. Japan is the place to shop in the world it seems.

Well it looked awesome, anyway (are it's prices too high or something?). I'm taking the exchange trip to Japan with my college in a couple of years so I might just visit it then.

There's alot more to Japan than 'Super Potatoes', Akihabara, Den-Den and all that shit. When you get to where you're staying ask around about 'Recycle Centers'. There's two popular chains of Recycle Centers across Japan.. they're called 'Manga Suoko' and 'Game Suoko'. Ask around about them. You can find games there, plenty and cheap. I swear.. the people that price the games there have no clue.. they're that cheap.
