supergun attenuation circuit probs

I followed this picture to try and get audio instead of my tv ( i believe it was posted on here ages ago iirc

but with my mv-1FZ the volume is really quiet and if i turn up the sound on the board it gets horrible sound distorion on the screen.

Anyone got any ideas?

would this be any good as i dont really fancy going into making adjustable lines etc

That, or something like it, ought to work fine. Most are adjustable as well.
