Finally picked up my T6 cab and wanted to do a comparison with a clone. I have seen lots of Noir cabs but no one has ever done a side by side comparison. I would like to do a picture by picture of a (REAL VS CLONE) Noir cab. If you have a clone feel free to post pictures so we can compare.

So far the differences in Real Vs Clone seem to be:

Real has:
1. VGA
2. JVS and has Stereo sound
3. "Namco" name on the botton of the CP. Also there is ONE big oval graphic on P1,P2 start buttons.
I.E.
Real CP

4. Confirmed that there is 2 different types of "Real" Noir cabs. "Tekken 6" header was only sold as a package with the game included. "Noir Cabinet HD" header was slightly less expensive option that allowed you to choose to buy just the Cab its self or the Tekken 6 arcade game plus the cab as a package. So far the differences in the Monitors are unknown at this point. Wonder if the monitors are the same or not...

Cab with "Noir Cabinet HD" Header:

5. One of the confirmed monitors name/model # Samsung LTA320AP02

Clone has
1. Either: HDMI+VGA or VGA+DVI,
2. From the factory is wired for Jamma and has Mono sound.
3. "Flyhigh" or Chinese characters on the botton of the CP. Also there are TWO separate circles on the P1,P2 start buttons
I.E.
Clone CP.

4. One of the confirmed monitors name/model # Sharp LK315T3LA31

The clones have different screen panels from the legit Noir's. I believe the max res on the legit Noir panels is 720p. The clones have occasionally have screens that can do 1080p.

My understanding of the Noir's monitor is that its very much like the lower end (L not the F) Vewlix LCD. That is to say 50~80Hz, 1366x768 max (16:9), and D-Sub (aka VGA) only. Someone with more information please correct me if I'm wrong. I've yet to see a Noir IRL, your pictures look great. I can't shake the feeling that modern candy's (Lindinburn/Vewlix/Noir) look like cubical desks with LCDs mounted to them. I guess its better then the Naomi or New Net City tho... *cough*TV on a folding chair*cough* ;)

The Noir at the Chicago Gameworks looks really nice in person. I've never seen a lindbergh SD screen up close. All Lindbergh games are the 50" VT4, Rambo, Terminator Salvation games on projectors.

Yessir!

I went just yesterday. Today, I made it up to Malibu Castle. Scratching some childhood legends off the bucket list, now that I've moved to the Bay Area, lol.

Ah, I see. Thx for the link!

I seem to remember reading about some similar cabs on Dave K.'s blog...I gotta read up on em again, to refresh my memory.

Head over to Golfland in Milpitas for the weekly SRK tournaments, or Southtown in SF on the weekends.

Whenever we manage to schedule it, we get together at BIGTIME's warehouse and play. A get together at Southtown would be fun.

My noir clone has VGA and DVI no hdmi. I was told its made in the same factory as the real but I have no way of disputing this. I only use it to run fighters on Xbox 360 and the pic quality is great and I have not seen any lag on mine.

I just changed out the buttons and testing between bubble tops and bats, I seem to play much better on bats but I like the bubble tops "looks"

@Westcb thanks for the info/pics! If you can... could you take/post pictures of the VGA/DVI connections on the monitor?? I would like to compare/contrast that as well..

Also, I noticed 2 different types of "Real" Noir cabs... My guess is that the "Tekken 6" header was only on the Dedicated Tekken 6 Noirs and the "Noir Cabinet HD" header was Tekken 6 Kit conversions.. Wonder if the monitors are the same or not...

One that says "Tekken 6" on the top like:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/7938780@N02/7485133716/

And the other that says "Noir Cabinet HD" on it like:
http://img.tapatalk.com/c6e4d895-d5ee-484d.jpg

Ultimately i would like all of us Noir cab owners both Clone and Real to open up the cabs to find out exactly what type of monitor is in them. something like Brand name or part#.. Doesnt seem like there is a whole lot of documentation on Noir cabs so this might be the only way to really find out whats what..

If it's a product made in China and is relatively successful, it is absolutely counterfeited in the same factory.

Heh, I believe that, everything tech related in china appeared to have a copied version the times I went. I can get pics of the power supply and stuff too. So how much does a tekken 6 cab sell for? I have never seen one in person, but I sure do like the cab artwork better then the red stickers on mine. The one I'm fixing for my friend has a marquee of what looks to be Bruce lee :-)

I have seen both in person and can tell you that they are not made the same....Looking at pictures they look identical, but material wise they are not, the real has better trimmings all around..I have two clones that i heavily modified.
Here is a picture of my monitor looks to be like Westcb posted...It also has vga and dvi 1366x768 Res can also go to 1080P, but not recommended as its not native res.

Nice Pics! I will break mine open and take a few pics of the monitor this week. From what i was told, The Noirs that say "Tekken 6" on the top of them are the dedicated Tekken 6 cabs that were only sold with the Tekken 6 gameboards in them. I was also told that there is only about 28 or so dedicated Tekken 6 cabs in the US... Apparently they were super expensive to import from japan so most arcade owners just bought the Noir Cabinet HDs.. The ones that say "Noir Cabinet HD" were sold both as just the cabinets with no game boards and to save $$ they were sold with the game board as well. The dedicated Tekken 6 Noir cabs will run you about $3500ish-$5000ish. I have also seen real Noir Cabinet HDs go for about $2000ish-$3500ish..

Finally had time to open up my cab and take a look a the monitor. It was very easy to get to the monitor model #. I only took off 6 screws on the back right side of the cab and i was able peek in and see the Monitor model #.

The monitor in my Cab is a Samsung LTA320AP02

Very interesting I'll look over those links thanks. Also do you have a noir control layout? I'm trying to get a real cpo made as the generic red stickers are crap. I just need the right layout to give Arcadeoverlays so they can make one. Or do you know anyone that can make them? I wouldn't mind just using the tekken monitor and CPO overlays is that sold as a conversion kit?
