I'm trying to necro this 4 slot MVS board I recently acquired.

One of the NEO-253 chips was too heavily damaged to be repaired.

Does anyone have one they could sell me?

I have a parts 2 slot if that would do it. Just some damage in the batt area iirc.

If that Center contact wasn't so far gone I could have filed it back and fixed it. But no matter how much I file I cant get metal to expose. :annoyed:

Ouch ... I was about to suggest stripping the outer layer until you see some metal to solder to. I'd continue trying. If it's this far gone, you have nothing to lose.

I guess I no longer need the chip. I filed back this one enough to expose some contact material and established legs with some thin wire.

The Neo 257 is really similar in the way that it works but doesn't offer the same switching capability iirc.

Thanks for the kudos. It was fairly tedious work fixing this one. Pretty soon I'm going to give it a little nail polish to protect the repaired area.
