What's on your Easter menu?

I'm heading to Costco for some salmon, Then I'm off to Whole Foods for some heirloom tomatoes, beets, and baby rainbow carrots. Tomatoes and beets will be made into two salads, and the carrots will be roasted with onion and herbs.

When I was a kid my mom would go all out on Easter : )
Sopa de Pan (warm bread salad)
Chacales (corn soup )
Torejas (kind of of like french toast but soaked in a sweetened broth)
Roasted lamb
Grilled fish
Capirotada (bread pudding)
Rajas con queso (green chili and cheese)
Homemade tortillas
etc. Damn I miss those days.

What are you having for Easter?

B1G1 sushi at the local sushi place.

Jesus may have died for my sins but he's a Jew... he wouldn't want me to pay full price.

Easter is just a couple days off either side of a weekend so I've been having wine, lots of wine.

Parents and I are going to a slightly fancy restaurant today. Not sure what on the menu but, hopefully, french onion soup and an Old Fashioned are in the cards.

I made Kraft mac & cheese and I threw in some Spam for good measure. It's unlikely anyone here had a lower quality and/or more depressing meal.

That's not depressing, it's fatty deposits in your arteries but it's not depressing. I'd smash a huge bowl of that, down 6 pints and get into some game time while puffing on the party pipe!

This is my first Easter meal since being"adopted" by my friend's family...and man, was it awesome. They're German so it was a proper German affair. Pork schnitzel, spaetzle, red cabbage, some hot potato salad my wife made, and some American food for good measure (deviled eggs, salad, etc)...it was great...

Warm/hot potato salad is great : )

Did you wash it down with a warm German beer?

No, no booze yesterday. I've been hitting the Titos Vodka/Lime too much and decided to give it a rest. I actually had a Coke, which was the first time in a long time.
