Was listening to DEVO's NIN cover of Head Like a Hole and wanted to know why this came to pass. I guess it was recorded for the US re-release of Jackie Chan's Supercop in 1996 along with the “Supercop” Theme lol. Talk about bottom of the fucking barrel, what I also didn’t know was a lot of people claim Head Like a Hole lifted the bass line from a Hawaiian Punch commercial written by Mark Mothersbaugh (of DEVO) a few years prior in 1987 but I can't find either one of them ever acknowledging the connection. Mind is kind of blown.

The new High & Mighty + Alchemist and Droog lifts a portion of the piano from this, pitch-shifted down, and missing the chord change.

Fuck that.
