What movies are you looking forward to this year?

I was originally going to title this one "What movies are you looking forward to this summer" but there are a few cool ones coming out before 2002 as well.

1) A.I. (June): I fear that being the huge Stanley Kubrick fan that I am may sour me on Spielberg's interpretation of this story, but I'm dyin' to see it anyway.

2) Final Fantasy movie (July): I hope it's as cool as the trailers....

3) John Carpenter's Ghosts of Mars (August): I pray JC's new film is good. Everyone thinks he's a hack nowadays...

4) Session 9 (August): This movie looks DAMN creepy! Who'da thunk it? A summer horror film that's actually scary? Damn!

5) Lord of the Rings (December): Yeah, I know the hype for this film is as nerdy as all the hype leading up to the "Phantom Menace", but I'm definitely gonna see this one.

6) Brotherhood of the Wolf (November): Now this looks like my kind of film... The hunt for a mass-murdering wolf creature in 17th century rural France.

I'm sure I probably forgot a few.

Just wondering what the rest of you are looking forward to....

Planet of the Apes! Tim Burton and Danny Elfman fucking rule...

A.I. Stanley Kubrick is a favorite of mine also. Heard about this movie for a long ass time before he died. I'm glad Spielberg picked up the project.

It's looking like it's going to be a bad year for movies, all the aforementioned flicks look like they're gonna suck IMO. Mummy returns kicked ass, though.

Damn, I need to get out and some more movies! To be quite honest, I hadn't given any of the movies you folks mentioned a second thought until I heard your opinions, and now I wanna go and see them.

I don't really know if this counts, as these aren't new movies, but I've got my eye on this (new to me anyway) 5 DVD box-set of Bridgitte Bardot movies. In my new job, I work in this warehouse that fills orders of DVD's, video tapes, CD's, video games (no Neo Geo, so it really doesn't count, IMO), box sets, you name it, we got it. We can get an employee discount on some stuff, and believe you me I'm gonna put it to use! Anyway, she's done quite a few movies I have yet to feast my lustful eyes on, but when the bills get caught up, that box set is mine!
