That's weird... I've seen a big red converted for a military trainer, too... What do these people have against NEO-GEO cabs?!?!

that is pretty brutal, who would even want to own that game anyways, let alone take the time to convert a neo to it

Maybe it's because of the monitor type? Only a selection of monitors out there are suitable for precision light gun games.

I think a lot of arcade owners failed to see the big picture which is why the arcade business is what it is and why people turned neos into crappy lightgun games.

i hear there are a couple of active MVS still in service
at this retro arcade called "GROUND CONTROL"
in downtown PORTLAND, OR. right next
to the local Chinatown.

one of these days soon me and the family
are going to swing on by so my sister can
experience an MVS for the first time.

believe it or not, she's the REAL NEO-Nut
of the family...

oh, and sad to see what they did to that MVS up there.

it seems that all throughout the early/mid thousands,
there was one big orgy of MVS-cannibalization
throughout the U.S. at least...

Probably it has to do with that the cab's themselves are a generic arcade fitting cab suitable for most any conversions. Sadly, you see them sell for really cheap at arcade auctions, then they're retrofitted like this to make somewhat of a profit.

I was there a month ago and they didn't have any MVS cabs on the floor. They regularly rotate machines on and off of the floor. Good problem to have, more machines than floor space.

Also, it's Ground Kontrol, not Ground Control.

Yeah, at my recent trek to a local arcade warehouse to get some mvs carts, i saw a neo cab that was converted into a wrestlemania machine... I almost cried.
