Fake scarcity and the ability to get it in a week to maximize flip-ability. Craigslist, offer-up, and ebay are filled with them.

I asked on offer up what the cost would be for one because dude posted no price and said he accidentally ordered two. He offered it for $550, I didn't even reply and he reoffered it to me for $500. I didn't reply again and it was magically dropped to $480 and a note they are selling for up $600 in ebay. Haha, i didn't reply, but sadly the offers stopped. I thought they'd keep dropping.
