that white line above the right boot on mercury...I remember Goodsmile having better qualtiy control. Looks terrible.
Or is it some other company?

Figuarts. About what you expect for $45 chinamanese quality. Goodsmiles quality has gone down a shit ton too on top of every release being near double this.Even medicos tbf. It looks a lot better in real life when not blown up. It doesn't help this phone camera sucks at taking straight lines.

For what it is it looks decent. The original was from 2013 so you can definitely see shitty tooling on the hands and some of the mold lines etc. I do want to complete the whole set including the dykes, tuxedo fuckboy, and imposter sailor moon.

I know these figures are marketed at adult collectors but I can’t get over how bad the ball joints look. I get that they’re going for maximum possibility and articulation but they’re sacrificing the aesthetics of the figures.

Call me crazy but the old Playmates TMNT line and Toy Biz Marvel / Video Game Superstars toys were the pinnacle of action figures for me.

As a figure fag and statue fag I always enjoy good articulation ones more. Luckily sailor moon has a lot statues if thats what you want.

And yeah some of the joints are ugly as fuck. Im not a fan of medicos jojo ones. Figmas usually look good as long as you don't show the back of the legs like I did with my aqua.

Found a Studio Series Bumblebee movie concept art Megs:

Havent transformed him yet. He looks pretty good, but some of the joints seem a little loose, or easily detach from their pins.

My first model kit. I can’t believe the precession of parts. Stuff just fits together with very little need to snip or file the connection points to the sheet of parts.

I opted for the clear shell so I could see the “inner workings”. Overall a nice looking Doraemon and fun little entry into Bandai model kits.

I've always sucked at posing figures. But I finished this one tonite with the marker and applying some decals. They were messy because of my shit unsteady hands but I like to think the decals are just "weathered."

So far this is my favorite of the three I've done. I've literally never watched any OG Gundam episodes. Only a few GGundam and one Gundam00, but haven't gone back.

@HornheaDD What I like to do is look at reference material for whatever is in question and make sure it looks exact. Believe it or not posing is a skil that becomes easier with time. sometimes you have to compromise to make a pose work due to articulation.

also I'll turn around mika when I repose her.

I'll snap some Gunpla pics later on and showcase them here.

Plamodel bases really help with dynamic poses.

And that Ground GM is kind of a brick. Looks all right but not much for poses. The articulation was a lot more primitive when Bandai made it.

Yeah judging by the runners material (it seemed much stiffer) I figured it was an older model. Doesn't bother me too much honestly. I also have one of the VerKa ones... Zeta Gundam, I think? Im not sure. It transforms I guess but it just feels so flimsy. This GM one I have is definitely more tanky. Only thing Im not sure of on it is one of the pauldrons is pretty loose, but it doesnt notch into anything. I even made sure I didnt miss a step. Its just a little wonky.

Fine grain sandpaper and gundam markers are also your friends, especially when the runners are difficult or the gates are challenging. A lot of my kits have tiny little flaws in them that gundam markers have worked miracles on.

Buzzmod lum invader. not really that great of a figure for how expensive it was. Ab crunch is non existent, shit falls off, has extra legs to put on for crouching and the hair is a pain to take off. All things considered weird engineering.

Ten-ten isn't pictured because chinamanese plastic quality is shit and the peg broke that holds him. Will improvise something later. I put the peg into the hole that swivels and spinned it ever so gently and it sheared.

The 14 year old figma that I have is still superior in terms of articulation. I like both looks though. Both come with angry faces and lightning so ones of these days I'll have to pose that.

Cyclops in the back going "Hey Logan do you smell that? It's Jean."
Which ones Jean? The redhead?? Based on proximity? I don't think they'd smell anything butt she hulk because ogress' don't smell nice, it's a rule. Green skin=ogress , another rule.

Or is there a relationship thing where cyclops is being a douche to wolvey because he's a jock douchebag?
