I am an American stick guy myself. When playing on Japanese cabs though I do like a Sanwa because of it's compact form factor. I usually throw an Octo-gate and a bat top on them with a 2lb spring for a bit stiffer feel.
But if they ever made a sharp cornered JLF square gate with a square actuator... I would be all over that. Would make it feel like a suzo-happ competition joystick I would think.
Hmm... Maybe a 3D printing project for someone to do as a proof of concept?
