As much as I love The Last Blade I got to go with Match of the Millenium. One of the best handheld games I have ever played. I wish they would do another one on the GBA.

Well featurewise MOTM wins, but I voted Last Blade, as I'm a sucker for weapons based fighters.

voted for KoF R-1, part 2 just suxx against this one

and I have played MotM for soooo a long time, it's getting boring after a while (badly balanced player strength). anyway, MotM will win this poll

I voted for The Last Blade. Surprised? I was, too. I just like it so much. I like it more than the Neo Geo MVS/AES games it's based on. I didn't think it would be my favorite NGPC fighter, but something about it just grabbed me and screamed in my face, "Hey! Keep on playing this game!"

I know not a lot of people will concur, and it is kind of a bummer that they did axe Shermie's walking backwards sprites and they also unhinged her jump in light kick -> close light kick -> forward strong kick -> HCF + punch chain combo, as well as make her follow up qcf + kick much slower, this is where it's at with hilarious story, amusing character interactions and silly parodies of each character's attacks.
It's got rolls.
It's got small jumps, mid jumps and large jumps.
It's got 3 pieces of art during DM KOs.
It's got quite a few new sprites.
It's got Miss X.
It's got the good old Samurai Shodown button pushing event.
It's got Whip baby.

It would have been nicer if SNK made at least ONE bad fighter on the system. That way we could have fanboys for it and have something to compare the awesomeness of the others to.

Too bad World Heroes never got onto NGP and the GBC one is too kickass to make fun of.

i havent yet managed to play last blade or kof r-2 but i own the rest and of thsoe MOTM is my favourite, wicked game :buttrock:

R2 is best.

Its one of my favourite fighters ever, not just on handheld.

apart from the blazing 3 second AI initialisation gap at the start of each round :spock:

Last Blade though was very very close.

Follow that with KOF R2.

I voted for MOTM, but Gal's Fighters is a very unique fighter for the NGPC. I love the combo system, but it would never work outside of a handheld game like this.

seriously, i was playing motm this week and i've decided i don't like it. it lags in two player, no matter which link cable i use, and i just really don't like it.

imo it doesn't play well. i'd rather play gals fighters or kof r1.

I have to agree that Fatal Fury is not bad.I love that game. I unlocked Alfred and he is a blast. I actually have yet to play Gal Fighters so I need to pick that one up.

Worst...its gonna be hard to pick the worst.
