Im pretty sure its part of the Hudson selection series: Cheap (~$30) gamecube reamakes of older games, so far they have remade Lode Runner and, Star Soilder. I think the next two are The Bonk's adventure remake and then The Adventure Island Remake.

Is it cel shaded? It really doesn't look it. Why didn't they do the same thing with Adventure Island, it looks god awful.

And no, it doesn't look god awful because "Oh my god they went 3d!", it looks god awful because it's boring and generic looking.

Get a Freeloader. $20 new, or you could probably snag a used one for cheaper.

What system is it for, how does it work, where can it be bought from?

It's a Gamecube boot disc, Gamestop and EB were selling them for a long time, some still do. There are a couple of games that don't work with it though, if I remember correctly.

Dang....I was hoping PS2.

I would get that top loader stuff or whatever, but I have the wrong model PS2...oh well...maybe I should pick up a used one that is the right model and just use that for import titles.
