Seriously, this is about the worst DLC that I've played. I'm big on this stuff, I love the game extending DLC of games like Burnout Paradise, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Forza 3, Halo 3, etc. This though? What the hell...

To start with, it probably took me 10 hours to finish it, and not 1 hour of it was fun. Having spent $10, I was determined to finish it...

This is Horde/Firefight mode, and it's not a good one. Each map takes approx 2 hours to finish, and good luck at that. This DLC is time consuming, extremely difficult, prone to game crashes, and the later waves bring the framerate down to around 5 fps, I'd say.

That said, the later waves are all but unplayable, even on single player. In multiplayer, it's even worse.

Fuck this game, if any of the rest of the DLC are like this.

Did you play this on PC? The 360 version doesn't have those same frame rate or stability problems....although it really is quite mediocre dlc.

I played it on the 360, and it did for me. I played with a level 50 Brick.

The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned kicked ass. It's a shame that Max Moxxi DLC is a horde. I want to quest damn it!

LOL @ how DLC is somehow considered 'apart' from a game that doesn't include the content of said DLC.

You twat.

I'm kind of wishing I had finished the game before I bought BOTH DLC packs.

After finishing the game, I was so pissed off, I lost all desire to play said DLC.

Serves you right for playing console FPS for gamerscore (and for console FPS). If the PC version had this problem, I'm sure I would have heard about it before now.

Why is that? The lackluster ending?

I don't think it was too bad as the game was really all about that journey. Grinding levels and loot with a couple friends is just too much fun.

I wish you could do more than 2 playthroughs (like Diablo 2's three playthroughs.)

What problem? Did you even read the thread or did you just start salivating at the mouth when you saw something remotely involving a PC title?

The 'problem' is the fact that compared to Zombie Island, which is a fantastic piece of DLC in both quality and price, Mad Moxxi's is a terribly shallow and tedious exercise in combat masturbation in a game that's about loot and quests.

By the way, this 'problem' DLC is available on the PC as well, so whatever kind of asinine point you're trying to make about the relative quality of PC to Console gaming is wasted here and everywhere.

Yes, I did read the thread, thank you.

The "problem" since you "like" to use "inappropriate" "quotation" "marks everywhere" is that the content is new and is irrelevant to the public's opinion, which is just collective suggestive impressions. The "problem" is "that" it apparently runs at 5 fps in some areas, which I have not heard happening with the PC version until this thread.

By the way, this 'problem' DLC is available on the PC as well, so whatever kind of asinine point you're trying to make about the relative quality of PC to Console gaming is wasted here and everywhere.

Care to link me to some credible sources claiming that there's been fps problems with this specific DLC for PC users then?

Ignore the troll. It's just another dumbass who for some reason can't seem to fathom the FPS genre on anything other than the PC.

I'm perfectly capable of accepting FPS on consoles, that isn't the point--even if mouse/keyboard setups are generally considered more precise. It would be nice to know if this was isolated issue, constrained issue to the 360/PS3 versions, or if it exists for the PC version (and whether or not there has been a patch to correct such issues).

Provoking and baseless assumptions is also a form of trolling, so I wouldn't insult your own kind so quickly.

You're a dumbass troll. I'm just an asshole.

What was the point of this?

To belittle the original poster for playing the 360 version of Borderlands and for playing an FPS on a consoles in general? Not to mention your assertion that he was only playing for Gamerscore points (an assertion that makes NO sense.)

One can only assume that was your point.

You did state you hadn't heard about the framerate issue on the PC version but by that point no one was taking you seriously due to your dumbass anti-console FPS trolling. If the PC version doesn't have the issue then good for the PC version.

Can you not accept that people can have fun playing "inferior" versions of a game. Why the fuck do you even care?

In short the best solution for you is to die in a fire.

Birds of a feather flock together.

One would assume that somebody with a gamerscore of 88000 plays for things like gamerscores. And since assumptions are your turf, I'm sure you would agree.

I would like to know because I intended on buying the PC version when it comes down in price. Not now though, because Steam like to fuck people over with country-specific prices.

The funny thing is, I'm not even a PC gamer. I only managed to get a "gaming PC" recently, which is even now apparently having the graphic card being bottlenecked by the CPU, but I don't care. I wouldn't be caught dead looking at my framerate during a game; so long as it's smooth I'll play it.

But realistically, there's just some games out there which are more value for money on the PC. Like L4D and the horrible match-making service it has. I don't care if people play an "inferior version" (your words, not mine). Knock yourself out.

Quake 3 and Half Life 2 are awesome.

Shhh...that was bait!

Any reasonable person would assume your comments were meant to be inflammatory. So in this case, it's not me coming up with baseless assumptions. Rather, it's you be a douche.

I'd add that a high gamerscore indicates one, first and foremost, plays a lot of games, rather than plays necessarily for gamer score. But we'd have to look at how many games he plays to see if that is the case and even then I don't think that's a good metric. Some achievements are simply fun to try and earn and there is nothing wrong with that.

My gamerscore is a bit artificial. I actually don't have the time to play all those games. My wife and little girl earned quite a few of those achievements. I do buy a lot of games, this much is true.

Also, I have a fairly powerful PC gaming rig. I played Borderlands on 360 (as often happens) so that I can play with my friends and my brother... Who all play on the 360.

I won't lie, if I really take to a game, I try to complete all of the achievements. I really liked Borderlands, up until this particular DLC. If the rest are more like Zombie Island, it'll mostly be forgiven.

Hopefully Gearbox will listen to fan feedback. I think they were just trying to hop on the Hordes mode bandwagon, which doesn't actually sound like a bad idea on paper. I just want more loot!

I have both the Borderlands DLC but i've yet to play either :emb:

Maybe i'll start this upcoming week.
