Haven't gone out to see it yet. All the people I've asked about it didn't like it, but most people hadn't even heard of DD until now so they don't really even know the premise. So what'd you all think? eye

I haven't seen it but I'm pretty sure it's going to stink worse than Spiderman. With that said go rent Superman 2 and enjoy an evening of fine movie making.

I saw it this aftrnoon. It was pretty good. It was pretty serious. More along the lines of the first 2 Batman movies, than some of the newer super-hero movies.

I saw Daredevil Fri. night. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I've seen better and I've definitely seen WAY worse.

The only real problem is that it's only ~100 minutes, so it can seem REALLY fast paced. Meet girl, jump girl's bones, then spoiler, another spoiler and then the movie is over. It just goes BAM BAM BAM and then it's done. I think they could have done with some fleshing out of the story, since DD isn't as well known as X-Men, Spider-Man and Incredible Hulk. Of course, lack of recognition is likely the reason DD was so short, since they weren't sure how it would perform.

They DID leave a possibility for a sequel, so if this one does reasonably well, expect a sequel. If not, don't expect a sequel. They ended it, but it was ended with an option.

Ben Affleck was a lot better as DD than I would have expected (he's not a bad actor, I just couldn't see him as DD). Hell, even Kevin Smith shows up in the movie!

It's a hell of alot more better than any of the movies put out based on DC comics. But it not as good as Spiderman but but better than that half ass X-Men movie they put out a couple of years ago.

Half ass? I beg to differ. X men is my favorite comic book movie to date. The only way I could see anyone not liking it is because it didn't follow the comics very well. I can't wait for X2

I have to agree with the other guy. I know a lot of people who say they like the X-Men movie and can't wait for X2. I just don't see why people like that movie so much. That movie is ASS.

DareDevil, on the other hand, wasn't that bad. It was a pretty decent flick actually. Not as good as Spiderman, but much better than X-Men.

I was a huge X-men fan in the 80's and 90's and that movie does not do the comics justice hell it didn't even do Wolverine or Sabertooth justice. They spent over half of the movie rewriteing X-men history to only lead up to lackbuster action. The acting and casting was great but I don't like the way the charaters story's were done. But the problems are supposed to be fixed in X2. And findly the reason why Daredevil moves so fast is because a lot of comic fans complained about X-men and Spiderman takeing so long for anything to happen. As in Spiderman's case it worked perfect as in X-men case it didn't work spending half of the movie redoing Rogue's history.

To answer your original question, it was OK. Not great, not sucky, but OK.

It was worth the price of admission, however, to see the new X-Men 2 trailer, which is my favorite trailer of all time now. "They say you're the bad guy." "Is that what they say?" Everything is pitch perfect, and DARK as all hell (literally and metaphorically). And I don't know who the sound effects team is, but they should get the Academy Award just for nailing the "BAMF". And if you don't know what I'm talking about, go to bed in shame tonight.

On a side note, in the X2 trailer I thought Nightcrawlers teleportation special effects looked damn cool!

I saw Daredevil Friday and totally enjoyed it.... I don't know much about the comics, but it was still very good fun... Bullseye is now one of my fave movie bad guys of all time, he just made me laugh so much :) Overall, Daredevil wasn't as great as Spiderman managed to be (imo), but still worth seeing.

And yes... the X2 trailer was mindblowing!!! eek! eek! eek!

I thought it was way better than Spiderman. That movie was hyped up too much and it just didnt live up to the expectation. But on the other hand DD is one of my fav comic characters and the movie was very faithful to the comic and done in a really cool fassion on explaining how he could see by using his hearing. All the actors played their part very well.

Yeah, another perfect part of the X2 trailer is all the great dialogue like "Have you tried NOT being a mutant?" and let's not forget Storm's wonderfull line "It's about to get really cold in here."

Lame central.

Ok here is my take. I am a huge Frank Miller DD fan. I stopped reading DD in the 90's when all of Marvels crap went caca. I heard the Kevin Smith issues were great but I never bought them.
I saw DD on Sunday. I thought it was great. The grittyness of the first Batman, fight scenes out of a HK film, great charicterizations, had the feel of the comics. You could tell that the director was a huge fan. The Sets and charicters were literally lifted from the comics to the film. Bullseye didnt have his costume but he had his insanity and charm. Affleck blew me away. Honestly that was my biggest worry. If you are a DD fan and "can take a screen adaption"(ie not:WTF man thats not 100% like the comic!) of the comic. It is spiritually faithful the Charicter of DD and Hells Kitchen.

Here's my problem with the DD movie: Michael Clark Duncan does not equal Kingpin.....and I dispise Ben Afleck.
