I've bought some Wii games from David (dbarrett0928). Here's what he said about the games:

dbarrett0928 said:
Good Evening, I have the following Wii Games for sale....all minty and complete.

dbarrett0928 said:
Yes they are good prices and all collector quality.

I've asked the condition of each game again before sending the payment and he confirmed they were all mint.

Here's what I have received (Mario Kart is here just for the color comparison, I didn't bought it from him)

(water damage, bad yellowing form smoke/humidity and a long scratch on the Fire Emblem disc)

Since the games were not as decribed, I've decided not to keep them and just get a refund. He was nice about it and told me to send them back and that's exatcly what I did.

He received the games on the 26th of september. I've PM'd him to ask him to send the refund just like he promised but no answer. I've waited a few days and PM'd him again, still no answer.

Today, I've decided to open a paypal dispute and see how it goes. That's when I got his attention. Dude answered right away to tell me that he can't refund the money because he never received the games back.

I've provided pics of everything and upgraded it to a claim :oh_no:

Seems he's rating things in "ebay mint".
FWIW the 2 I got from him were less than mint too, but no where near what you ended up with. :(
Best of luck man.

Thanks guys.

The message I've received on paypal was from someone called Allen (with the same familly name) so it could be one of his relative's paypal account or something. I want to give the guy a chance but this shit sure looks shaddy. Dude can't answer PM for shit but as soon as paypal gets involved, he magically pops out of nowhere.

Hope you get this sorted out. It'd be crazy to call that mint and collector quality.

Maybe mint flavoured mouthwash was spilled on the games?

That's the only way i could see them being 'minty'...

Hope it gets resolved.

Still no answer to my PMs. No questions or anything. He only talks on paypal it seems. I'm still waiting for them to get back to me.

I've opened the claim as non-received item and explained that I returned the games but never received my refund ($96) then he gave them his tracking number so I can't say that I didn't received my stuff. I've provided the tracking number of the returned package as well as pics of the box and the receipt from the post office, both with his address on it so they can see that the package has been returned to the right address. (I'm glad I took pics of everything before sending it out, I just take pics/videos of everything like everyone nowadays, too many scammers arround)

The way he's handling things makes me think of a worst case scenario here. It looks like he wants to buy some time or something. He should have refunded the money the minute he got that tracking number saying that he was lying. Whatever happens with paypal now, I strongly recommend you guys stay away from David/Allen Barrett or whatever his real name is.

Usually paypal is relatively quick about these things (I had a dispute over ebay one time and they got back to me within two days) but I hear up to 10 business days for a reply. I'd try to follow up with them if you don't hear anything by tuesday.

Now you see why I love paypal and pay the fees without any remorse - I've been mostly fortunate, but the few pricks I've dealt with all seem to become reformed good citizens when paypal/ebay lays the pimp hand on them. I wouldn't worry too much, paypal/ebay sides with the buyer 99% of the time as long as you properly document everything (any time you send something back use a tracking number so that the seller can't claim he never received it - even in that case, expect that he will refuse to collect it from the post office if it's an international delivery and try to claim he never received it but paypal/ebay sees right through that pathetic shit).

Good luck.

Good news guys. It looks like I'll get my money back in a few days. The charge back worked. I don't know what the hell this dude did to slow down the claim process but he sure tried hard. It took forever.

Anyway, negative feeback is coming his way.

Oh and I'm still out of the $20 I had to pay to send his games back... Oh well.

To all who have followed. I have still yet to get my games back. I just purchased a home and I am in the process of moving. I have not logged in in a while. Last I heard coryoon was not happy with the condition of his games. That is fine I agreed to refund him ONCE he sent the games back. I also intended to refund his shipping cost - I just refused to do it before I got the games back I hope anyone could understand that. Now the issue is he claimed he sent them and gave me a tracking # and when I track the number with the postal service it shows "received in santee" which is my city but does not show it was ever delivered to my address. I have not had time to come on the forums nor was I too worried about the issue until now as I see he is defaming my name and making me out to be shady. There has been an obvious misunderstanding he claims I got my games on the 26th and I never did.

Also

Secondly it seems the games have suffered some sort of water damage and none of the games had any type of scratches when they left my possession. Something isn't right about how coryoon is handling this. I understand I have been MIA from the forums for 2 weeks. This is as mentioned due to closing on a home loan and constantly busy moving and getting things ready for the home. I am a father of 4 and this was the last thing on my mind as I figured after he complained and I said ship em back I thought he chose to keep em anyway as I never did get them.

After ignoring my PMs for a week and zero communication whatsoever with me prior and during the whole paypal dispute and claim process (but answering all questions from paypal all at the same time of course), look who's back.

"dbarrett0928" said:
I am going back through paypal to pursue this as fraud. You claim you sent me the items and claim I signed for them. I asked you at what address and you never responded. I was perfectly fine refunding the money as long as I got the items back first. I will also be publicly displaying all facts and any proof as to my claim on these forums so this does not happen to nanyone in the future.

Dude, you got the package, you or Allen or whatever your real name is.
