I am surprised to see Kill Bill Vol. 2 make their top lists... The worst movies are pretty funny.... I would cringe if I have to sit through something like "New York Minute" and then write a review.

I expected Kill Bill vol.2 on the best lists. The Whole Ten Yards as one of the worst was no surprise (considering how much The Whole Nine Yards sucked, anyway).

One day I just want to see Ebert show up totally ripped, slurred speech and everything, and say about a bad film: "I've seen better pornos than this. Hell, I've written better pornos than this." That would rule all.

Kill Bill Vol 1 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Vol 2 :buttrock:
But Vol 2 was still a fantastic 2nd part.

KB1 though really kicked my ass.

I kept thinking "Samurai Shodown: The Live Action Motion Picture"!
Starring Uma Thurman as Charlotte, or something

Troy was this year's biggest disappointment, but it was no way the worst of the year!...

While I would also pick Kill Bill Vol. 1 over #2, it was hard for me to truly like the film because just like Q.T. I too am a "Rabid Film Buff" of asian oddities and world/indie/underground cinema, that most of the viewers themselves probably have never seen. Thus I remembering when watching it, I was sitting there shaking my head naming outloud the stuff he directly was saluting. I guess from that stand point, it was just hard to get into the zone with it. Though I did eventually just buy KB #1... I have no intenion of ever buying VOL. 2, which to me was just anti-climatic. I always laugh when ppl tell me: "Man you're such a fanboy of all that weird stuff, just enjoy the movie." when the flip side of that coin is that the person telling me that, has never seen most of what I'm upset about, but embraces and his ready to suck QT's fan boy watching product.

...but it's a nice cheesecake film none the less, and the Anime scene alone was worth the price of admission.

Ebert and Roper---I hate those two fuckers.
Anyone ever notice that fat fuck Ebert's bottom lip is all slanted and weird?
Did he have a stroke recently or is he just physically deformed?

I think if Tarantino would have just made it one big movie with KBp2 scences mixed in with KBp1 then it would have been really great. As it is now it seems like part 2 is just somthing he threw together cause he didnt have anytime.

They did a good job of naming a lot of the movies that're going to be talked about in the next few months up to Oscar time.

Here's my take on their list:

Great Choices (I've seen, I liked'em a lot)
Kill Bill Vol. 2 (and vol 1, which I liked more)
Spiderman 2
Sideways
Kinsey
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Garden State
Maria Full of Grace

Good choices (not quite as good as above)
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
Ray
The Terminal
Super Size Me
Fahrenheit 9/11

Desperately wanted to see, now even more so
Hotel Rwanda
Million Dollar Baby
Baadasssss! (so pissed, had the chance, missed it)
Closer

If I have a chance, no rush... I'll live if I don't see these
Moolaade
The Aviator
Metallica: Some Kind of Monster
The Dreamers
House of Flying Daggers
The Assasination of Richard Nixon
The Merchant of Venice
The Saddest Music in the World
Touching the Void
Twilight Samurai
"Finding Neverland"
"Collateral"
Friday Night Lights
The Woodsman

Not interested
Vera Drake
Undertow
The Passion of the Christ
The Polar Express
When Will I Be Loved
"Spanglish"
Open Water

The Aviator
You gotta see this one... It's got Jude Law as Errol Flynn and Cate Blanchett as Katherine Hepburn!!!!

Jude Law as friggin' Errol Flynn!!!! That's crazy reason enough to watch it!!!

Just finished watching, "Collateral," tonight.

Mighty impressed with Tom Cruises performance as a hired hitman. Talk about a suspenseful movie. I'd have to say that this was the first time i've seen him so cold and brutal(not counting Last Samurai).

Kind of reminds me of Denzel Washington in, "Training Day." It's good to be the BadGuy. :smirk:

Anyway, glad this movie didn't make Ebert and Roeper's worst movies of 2004.

I think they are on crack to call The Grudge one of the worst movies. I'm a huge fan of the Ju-On series and I think the re-make was done pretty well..almost a scene for scene remake even, except for the inclusion of the Americans...ok its not the best movie, but certainly not even close to one of the worst. Suprisingly enough..I think (but I could be wrong) that these two fucks actually liked the Ring remake when it came out..and it was nothing but a piece of shit that totally raped and ruined the original...funny how that works out.
