Fished a bunch as a kid and I just don't have the right temperament for it. Fishing is a combination of all the things I dislike in life: waking up stupid early, aimless tedium and nature. No knock against people who dig it but I don't need an excuse to drink with friends and I actually like my spouse so I don't need an excuse to escape from her.

Yeah, the striper runs this year in Napa and Petaluma are great! Low to middle incoming has been the best time for me. Using mudsuckers on a baitrunner. We catch those with small hooks and red worms near structure.

Crabbing season starts next Saturday. Might even get the boat out.
