I had a very old retrogamingcables scart cable.for my Genesis 1. Looked fine on my Framemeister. Then I RGB-modded my CRT and it turned out it was not fine. All the pixels had jail bars around them on the CRT, so I opened the cable up, and it turned out it was not wired for CSYNC. I changed the pin, and added the cap and resistor. That fixed the problem, and now it looks nice on the CRT.A lot of people seem to think this is a fix for the jailbar/vertical line problem that some of these systems have over RGB, and it's not. But the usual gang of idiots keep doing it anyway. The real fix is much easier.
Agreed, but not sure how that solves the problem here.Just use proper monitors, prob solved. I know it's not really convenient having to keep more than one "viewing device" for your stuff around but if you have a big flatty with a scaler or something and a small cheap crt, say a 14" Trinitron, you're set for all needs, at least that's more or less how I do it.
It seems that some people are conviced the csync mod thing solves their display probs which more often than not are the result of a bad choice of tv/monitor for a certain system according to my experience.Agreed, but not sure how that solves the problem here.
In not too many years from now, there won't be any non-modified systems left coz the hdmi-gen people Frankenstein'd them all.I kind of get mad by all the misinformation in the console modding scene. My brother was just trying to get a quick and dirty MD setup to make a Youtube video, and he ran across someone telling him he has to mod it.
Well now i want pics of the what the launch MD box looked likeI have a few unmolested boxed examples, including a JP launch system![]()
Yeah, this is the heart of what bugs me. You know I mod all the things, but a lot of people just getting into the scene think everything needs a mod and seem dumbfounded when I ask if they have plugged the system in to see if there's actually anything wrong.I kind of get mad by all the misinformation in the console modding scene. Here you go! It has the original "VA0" motherboard from 1988.Well now i want pics of the what the launch MD box looked like
