I'll leap in the fray. Everything you've said and done so far doesn't add up. I think that you're just some random guy who likes making shit up for whatever reason. Now you've been exposed, and chances are that you will just create another account and show up as a completely different user if you can't clean this up.

If not, there's some truth in what you've said.

I'm so stupid....duh!!

CollectionKing, if it makes you feel any better...

1. Years ago I got scammed $350 after requesting Waku Waku 7 in the market forums. Some guy saw my listing, and emailed me that he had one and I trustingly paid him after having dealt with only honest people here. Never got it.

2. I also trustingly traded David Koresh a JP copy of Baseball Stars 2 in exchange for a US one. He had good feedback too, so it took me by surprise when he never sent my game in the trade. I got the run around, and to this day he's never sent it.

3. Another time on eBay, I sold a guy an expensive Japanese sword. He claimed he never received it, despite the tracking number showing he did. He then said he only received a broken-in-half empty box. He launched a PayPal claim against me and won, and I lost $1200. Always get SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION when selling high-dollar things.

The internet school of hard knocks teaches expensive lessons. You're not the only one.

That's what I hate about paypal, they always side with the buyer, no questions asked. I think they are a convenient way of paying for things, but I refuse to accept payment through them for something I've sold.

If you're dealing with a guy named David Koresh, you deserve to get scammed. Seriously.

I'm probably not buying games from some guy named 'the bay-side strangler'

You mean the buyer?

Seller NEVER gets helped by PayPal.

Unless you give them forensic evidence including the unboxing of the returned item and security footage of the item being packed and sent off, pics, and a dash of the soul of John Candy

I can say this for CK, he did buy some expensive US carts from me. I think he just jumped into Neo collecting a little too fast for his own good and got bit.

I was wondering about that a while ago, and wrote them what kind of "seller protection" would I have if the buyer just says that he received a stone instead of the item I was selling.
Guess what, they just sent me a long and boring message about tracking code, but not the answer about the question I asked.
Mailed them a second time, keeping the mail as short and clear as possible, and again they just copy-pasted a bunch of crap in which there was no answer to my question.

Hopefully signature confirmation will be enough to cover my ass in case something similar would happen

Yeah that's another thing that pisses me off, their shitty automated responses that don't even answer your question.

You'd think with the amount of money they make they could provide some decent service. I'd love to see them go under one day, people who conduct business the way they do deserve nothing less.

It's pretty sad, but if a buyer decides that they'd rather have your item for free, it's very easy for them to get it if you don't have signature confirmation. The ridiculous burden of proof is always cast on the seller. For this reason I'm always terrified of selling an expensive Neo Geo game overseas. What's stopping some guy in Portugal from saying he never received your game and getting a full refund?

It's been a long time since I've run into any shifty buyers like that, but I know they're out there.

If there was any alternative, I would use it immediately. Unfortunately tho, if you have things you want to get rid of, it's almost the only place where you can go (both ebay & paypal)

Luckily I never had to deal with any shifty guy so far, but I suppose it could be also because the most expensive thing that I sold was just a boxed AES. :p

Ahe guys, I just jumped in the mix of the shit and maybe the radiation got to me and fucked up my thought process when I was going through with the transaction. Like I said before, I was stupid to even think someone would sell a rare NTM for that much. I did ask questions about the game but I didn't ask the right questions. And I didn't ask to see any pics. Hey, that's on me. But at least I thought he would at least tell me when I asked that it was a conversion you know. I have been collecting neo geo games since 2001. I also have a lot of dupes. I'm not that gullible to not know whats real and whats fake. But hey, I screwed myself. Shit happens. Time to move on. Lesson learned.

Not going to change my profile, still going to be the same CK and continue to collect neo geo items. I have bought some home carts from some individuals on here already and I have to say thanks for the honest transactions. :snack: I should have titled this thread "I am stupid" There's my clean up.

US, Euro, whatever. You don't think I was going to pay 27K for a Kizuna did you? How gullible. And yes, I was going to try my luck at the MD Tetris but they would not sell it. Yes I do give a shit about the items I buy. You make it seem like I just jump in buy shit for the hell of it. Naah SupeDog or whatever. I like CK better. It suits me. Much love to Japan though.
