The newest release of 80's power-metal-trio "The Rods*" is a hell of an album. Probably one of their best. A strange mix of the stripped down songwriting with european style production.

I used to be a big fan of early Blut Aus Nord but I haven’t listened to them in years. I should give that new album a listen.

I see Blood Incantation as a lot of hype. Yeah they’re good (I’ve posted them here before), but they don’t do it for me. When it comes to death metal, it’s early florida, san fran and swede, finnish dm for me. War metal over all other all other dm though. Blasphemy, Black Witchery, Goat Penis, Bestial Warlust, etc

Yep, I actually checked out blood incantation on the bandcamp page before you posted about them. I'm not excited by it, but it's ok.

My opinion has remained the same (though I haven't checked out that new album). I've been hearing their name a lot more since that post though (11/16/18).

Also, I've never been crazy about Blut Aus Nord but this era is pretty cool.
