How much do you pay in rent?

About a year ago I was renting a 985 sqft, 2 bed, 2 bath for 850$. Nothing fancy, but clean, in a good neighborhood.

Now, 1269$ mortgage(without taxes or insurance), new house, 2400sqft + full unfinished basement(4800sqft total). 60x40 barn, and 10 acres. Well water, propane, and really, REALLY shitty internet. Haven't had to pay full taxes yet, but probably 5 to 7 grand a year. Not sure on insurance, wife pays that. Wife pays utilities also, I think they are in the neighborhood of 300 to 500(electric, propane, entertainment)

Wow. Never paid rent, when I turned 18 I bought a 10x50 1969 mobile home for $750 cash and put it on my family's land. I lived there for 5 years then went to a 14x70 I paid $5k for. Now in Grandma's old house, I live in the middle of nowhere on 140 acres though. Nearest Best Buy, Lowe's ect is 50 miles. Nice houses (3bed and up) in the town where I work go for about $60k to $90k. Life is cheap here.

I drive a Buick Le Sabre now but only go about 40 miles round trip to work.
