Wow look at all of this DVD's that I am trading for Laser Discs, My Dvd's are all in mint condition with no scratches they were viewed once and then stored away. If possible i would like to get the same title for example if you want the dvd Jaws you must give me the laserdisc Jaws , but i know that some newer titles are not available on laserdisc and here you can give me any laserdisc that i don't have. Or If that particular laserdisc is rare then maybe i can give you 2 or more movies,or a boxed set depending on the rarity. The shipping method will be reciprocal meaning that once i receive the laserdisc i will send out the dvd inmedietly. I will only trade with persons in the 48 States of America and your laserdisc must play without a hitch. Thanks you can view photos of the dvd's at the following URL:http://www.geocities.com/malagon_oliver/dvsfortrade.html

I don't have anything to trade, I just want to add that I did the same thing- I sold almost all of my DVDs and replaced them with the LD versions.
I kept all of my Criterions and "special interest" DVDs but with older movies in paticular the art work and overall presentaion of a LD is almost always superior to the DVD release.
The studios always fuck with the original artwork for the DVD release I guess in an attempt to make it look more modern, they end up neutering the very essence of the original film as is the case with the Dogs of War DVD

LDs are rare to begin with in general when you look at the original production run of most LDs compared to DVDs and obviously LDs are not produced at all anymore (for the most part anyways).

There are so many beautifull box sets available as well, and I honestly prefer the picture quality of LDs to DVDs.
Not to mention if you want a copy of The ORIGINAL Star Wars triliogy that hasnt been molested by George Lucas. He has reportedly destroyed the original film stock.
Also for the most part laser rot can be easily avoided and if not is something that happened at the point of production.
