Location of southtown

There has been a lie that has spread throughout neogeo.com and orochinagi.com

Many ASSUME(which is wrong) that southtown is located in mexico.Why do they believe this?Because the AOF team was in mexico fighting within a paopao cafe.The only other time we have seen the pap pao cafe was in fatal fury 1.Thats why they assumed it was the same paopao cafe in kof 94 as the one in fatal fury 1.Never did it cross their minds that perhaps richard has more then one paopao cafe.

The only real clue to the location of southtown was in fatal fury special.Their were 4 fighters that fought in the USA;terry,duck,axel,and geese.Within the fatal fury special instruction manual was listed the exact location(city)within the country these fighters were in.Axel was in new york,terry was in the west,duck was somewhere in the middle,but geese was the only one of the 4 that was in southtown.Before a fight comenses the plane(I think it was a plane)flies to the country of the stage your going to fight in on the map.Notice where geese is located.Hesin america,specifically in florida.Thus thats where southtown is located.If you have a SNES,SEGA CD,PC ENGINE SUPER CD or a NEOGEO home system to play fatal fury special you will see this.

Southtown isn´t a california state,probably i is a trasladation of los Angeles+ San Francisco so are many original places of these cities:
San Francisco have a Chinese town who are more famous and Los Angeles (L.A) Had a desert next to the city (relativy) many stranges places, Southtown have two national park , Art of Figthing 2 Ryo´s stage who are in the right of Southtown map, on the other hand the national park (who likes Thayland) Joe´s stage of Ff3 have emplace in the left of the southtown map, have a Chinese town similar to San Francisco, two atraccion parks King´s stage and Sokaku stage, one airport in the middle of the city <IMG SRC="smilies/eek.gif" border="0"> ,¡¡ (in reality the airport are building out of the city ) and have many famous bars and restaurant (l´Amour,Mack,s bar, Pao Pao Cafe and Ilussion bar) the longer Gesse´s tower so the principal show are fall down of the3 top of the building and don´t suffer damage, so have more altiltude <IMG SRC="smilies/glee.gif" border="0"> , and the tall building´s tipical of New york, last thing in Kyo´s Kof, the main character visit first Californa, after southtown.

I'm not sure where the first southtown is, but I think Second Southtown(in Garou) is built on an island(like New York). It looks like on the map that it's build going into a bay(because there's a forest above it,etc.)Just my thoughts, later

1) We have bars in here

3) We have so many Japanese exchange students here
4) We have a little airport called Denton Airport
5) We have so many girl-boy here

You can find all the characters from AOF in Denton so I'm pretty sure that Denton is Southtown

I mean, c'mon! What japanese guys is going to point somewhere on a huge globe and magically land on Southtown (S. America was it?). Hell, KoF '00 took place there.

Here's a link to a scan I uploaded of the last page of the Garou manual which shows the location of the two Southtowns. The coastline looks like it could be somewhere in or near the Gulf Of Mexico, which makes northwestern Florida a distinct possibility. Also, I believe FFS shows the plane land in the Florida region when you go to fight Geese. Anyway, here it is.

Which only proves my point. We aren't trekkies, we don't have to look for every single loophole in the story!

You guys all saw it:
a) '00 cannon kills Zero

c) illustration of beam hitting the city
d) illustration of creamed city.

Garou came out before '00, I beleive. Either way, I dare say that even when the Koreans (hopefully, with all my heart, they won't fudge it up!) make 2001, they'll probably keep southtown.

This is about as ludicrous as saying, 'Hey! The power rangers already blew that up! Then the next day, the city is completely rebuilt! WHAT THE FREAK!'

God knows, maybe the koreans won't have a name for southtown and just call it katsutown or beebimbop-ville. (That was sort of directed at Iie-Kyo for a laugh. Isn't that right you freakin' korean?) <IMG SRC="smilies/smirk.gif" border="0">

Guys...

Garou does NOT take place before KOF2K1. It's eight to ten years in the future, and anybody that knows anything about the game can tell you that.

If you look at the prior link I posted, scanned right out of the last page of Garou's instruction manual, you can see that Garou does NOT take place in Southtown. It takes place in Southtown Secundus/Second South, which is an entirely different city. The ruins of Southtown may or may not have been restored in the years between KOF2K and Garou, but Garou's story does not take place there.

And Gennosuke, as far as your aggression towards debating fiction goes...no offense, but lighten up.

I, and many others, like the games AND the stories that serve as the background. If you don't care about the storylines, or don't care to debate them at any rate, that's cool but there's no reason to post that and 'get all up in our grill' about it.

We were over here having our little conversation about where Southtown is and minding our own business. This is just one of hundreds of threads at neo-geo.com. While your sensibilities are in the realm of 'it doesn't matter', ours seem to be in the realm of 'it doesn't matter but let's talk about it anyway'.
