I'll try not to let today's Dreamcast nostalgia cloud my judgement about this news. However, it seems like Sega is at least listening and trying to build a Sonic game that caters to the original fan base.
I'm not going to get my hopes up too much yet, but I'm all for a classic styled Sonic release, and, despite what the haters may say, Sega really does have some incredible talent still working for them. At this point I'm pretty much cautiously optimistic. No gameplay footage has been shown, so who knows if we're going to be bombarded with werehogs, a spazzy camera, or a new flock of furry fuckwits accompanying Sonic on his latest adventure.
