To think I was 30 when I joined this group, Now I'm 51.

Remarried my wife, 3 kids and all living in Cornwall, Ontario in our new house.

No longer have my console collection but still play nonetheless and finally have my man-cave with all my toys.

Glad so many oldtimers are here.

I was fairly active at one point but mostly took off from the hobby over the last 8 years or so. Went through a divorce, got remarried and had a couple kids. Now they're old enough that they can mind themselves pretty well and my older son likes playing in my arcade room so I got back into the hobby.

Early last year my neighbor told me he had a 1980 Gottlieb Amazing Spider-Man pinball that had been sitting in his garage under a tarp for 15 years and was non-working. I bought that from him and restored it which was a significant time sink and my first pin. After that restoration I got the bug again. I restored a Galaxian that an old acquaintance had given me many years ago, followed by a Pac-Man, a Centipede, and a Cruis'n Exotica. I'm working on a second Cruis'n Exotica and an Arkanoid cocktail now.

I'm in NoVA and I used to hang out with Ilazul and SamuraiShodownSensei many years ago. When they got out of the hobby I picked up Ilazul's Q25s and SamuraiShodownSensei's Super Neo 29s, all of which I still have, but the rest of my candy cabs have been sold off. Anyway I'm back and will be lurking about here if anyone in NoVA wants to chat.

Thought I'd stop in and say hello. It's been awhile. I'm almost 39 now, still married, but still no kids yet. If it happens, I'll be an old man dad at this point! I ended up moving a few years ago from SoCal to the Dallas area just as COVID hit. Texas has been pretty cool so far. I was finally able to afford a house, something I was never able to do back home. Hopefully I can get a nice Neo Geo cab one day. I've always wanted one, but never had the space!

Are there any other members in the DFW area? I'll miss droid's awesome Neo gatherings and the garage arcade he built.

Just popped back in. Member since 03. Glad to see little has changed here. How do I get the year badge added to my profile? I don’t feel fucking old enough already.

Hmmm, no more Atlanta. In Portland now. Went back to school and became a mental health counselor. Mostly work with lgbt youth and some addiction. I’ve long done transitioned over to a regular nerdy gal.

One thing about Portland I love is the nice retro gaming scene. Even 3rd Strike Tournaments at one retro arcade.

I fell outta gaming for awhile during a tricky personal time. Gotten hardcore into 40k and boardgames like Arkham Horror. I still retro game a lot and lately really loving Albion. I think it’s great.
Abasuto lives and has ascended into nerdy lady \o/

Okay back to obscurity I go
