I don't think I could get used to my dock on the side. I've got a friend that has so many applications on his dock, you can barely see what they are!

At first I thought the same thing, but give it a shot. It's nice being able to use the whole vertical space of your desktop for browsing and other applications.

I used to keep mine on the side, but I found that no matter where I put it, it was taking up space that I'd prefer be used for app windows. Now I keep it at the bottom so I can fit more icons in it and set it to show/hide automatically.

I also disabled the horrible mirror finish so I can actually see its contents when there are windows behind it.

Best Dock tweak ever (via Terminal):

defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean YES

Windows?! :spock::annoyed:

Is mac too hipster and 733t for you?

Nice desktop tho.

I used to run OSX but had to switch to Windows for school (and because my iMac was a piece of shit).

I'd dual boot OSX if I could but you need Intel chips for that right? I have AMD.

Also, I got my copy of Windows 7 Ultimate for $10 new through my work.

I keep a basic black background on my workstation in my office....have to keep things professional.

The background on my Mac is set to change every 15 minutes to a random image.

Resized from 1080p, click for a higher-res, low quality JPG.

I just scrambled to find a new wallpaper a moment ago since I didn't want to post my old Megaman one from last time. I probably got a lot of spyware and crap in the process since I was too lazy to open a Virtual Machine...

I'm not really diggin' this though, so I'll probably go back to my old one.

And yes, I use iTunes, but only because I need it to sync to my iPhone. :emb:

Good to see a few other Linux users. I'm running Ubuntu 9.10.

I also have other OSes (PC-BSD 7.1.1, Windows XP Pro SP3, OpenSolaris, Mac OS X v. 10.5.8). Basically, Mac is useless and Windows is only good for gaming. Ubuntu blows the rest out of the water.

I have a more modern computer, but have no love for it.
