The guy watched a lot of movies. Like it was his job or something. I think Bobak should take over his position as movie reviewer.

Just saw it on Yahoo's front page as breaking news. He was better than most of the reviewers you see today.

Wow, I was reading an article just this morning about his cancer coming back but I was not expecting this. Sad day for sure.

He really hung in there, though. Kept upbeat and working through stuff that would have stopped most people in their tracks.

I still never got used to the Ebert and Roeper duo. I was always so used to hearing in movie previews, "Siskel and Ebert give this film two thumbs up!". Even though Gene Siskel died about 14 years ago.

So who's the new go-to movie reviewer now? Rotten Tomatoes?

Nah...he's already waiting for Jeremy Clarkson to kick off so he can take his job reviewing high dollar exotics from the UK.

I didn't always agree, but always respected his reviews. He didn't sugarcoat his writing and always pushed for a better understanding of the film medium. RIP.

Same here.

I didn't always agree with him, I thought he gave some awful comic book movies too much credit (not to mention the Star Wars prequels), but I always enjoyed reading his opinions. He'll be missed.

Didn't always agree with is reviews (I feel he had a tendency to love everything foreign or "artsy" for not always a good reason), but I appreciated his ability to be honest about his opinions and not hold back how he really felt.

He really deteriorated later in life. If you look at photos of him recently he was a mess from his battle with cancer.

Man I was just reading his statement from yesterday. I wondered if it was related to something more serious, but damn had no idea it was something like this. Damn this is heavy.

RIP

Looks like his last review was for Stephanie Meyer's "The Host"... :spock:

Ok now this is the second time I heard this joke since yesterday. I hope your not the guy from Neogaf telling the same joke twice or even worse you stole it from that guy.

or it could be an unintentional pun and if so sorry
