Reminds me of MKII/III. I haven't really been into the MK series since the second installment, but this has me interested.

Seems like a re-creation of MK2 (Just like how Shaolin Monks was). Very neat. Good to see "The Pit II" is back, now with spikes too.

I've always wanted to see some sort of a re-creation of MK1 though.

I disagree, MK2 has a lot of bullshit in it too. But UMK3 is actually still played on a competitive level. Besides, if infinites were enough to discount a game, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 would never have taken off.

Thank you! Finally back to it's 2D roots! No more 3D scrolling stages with instant death traps! All I want to see is that they'll get rid of the stupid fight stances and keep the button layout from the first four games and we'll be in business.

well it looks good enough for me to give a second look but I'm not gonna get hype knowing ed boon is still behind that shit.

The being said it definitely plays on my nostalgia of MK1 and 2 :) so I'll probably give it a try regardless if its a solid fighting game or not.

i was a huge fan of mk1, mk2, umk3, and mkt. Then the series died. ( yeah, i'm pretending the other 3d games don't exist). this one looks incredible though. I can't wait. I hope baraka, scorpion, and shang are all in. Fan characters of the series.
