While we are talking about REgional Foods...

THERE IS ONLY ONE FUCKING WAY TO MAKE BUFFALO WINGS.

Ingredient #1: Deep Fried Chicken Wings.
Ingredient #2: Wing Sauce.

Wing Sauce Shall only consist of roughly 1 Part Frank's Red Hot Sauce and 1 Part Melted butter. The only exception is adding some Flour to the Butter to keep it from seperating from the Hot Sauce...

EVERYTHING ELSE IS JUST SHIT.....

IT's any EASY recipe, I don't know why so many places fuck it up....

AND WINGS COME IN ORDERS OF 12, Not 10.

IF SOMEONE TRIES TO SELL YOU AN ORDER OF 10 WINGS:
-TELL THEM TO GO FUCK THEMSELVES

Im actually from North Florida, but thats a technicality.

Tampa has shit for any type of original cooking.

There are a bunch of good BBQ places around though.

Philly Food is the fucking best...

If only they could learn to make fucking Pizza Down there..... I've never had a decent slice in Philly/S. Jersey

Problem here is that there's tons of awful Greek pizza places

Good and real pizza in Philly:

Tacconelli's in Port Richmond is far and away the best. Reserve well in advance.

NYPD Pizza on 11th and Walnut is pretty good for authentic thin Italian pizza.

In South Philly, Marra's and Franco & Luigi's are the best.

There's good pizza in Philly, but you have to seek it out. The average pizza/steak joint on every other corner in Center City/West Philly/Old City serves shit pizza.

Best Korean food outside NY and LA too.

I wish Butta would post...

He could brag about Boston Baked Beans (candy) and Lemon Heads. The pizza is good there, but what else? That's a serious question.

I currently reside in New York. Here's a fun fact;

"There are more French restaurants in New York City than there are in Paris."

But Italian food > French food.

Well of course there's fast food in North Florida, but some restaurants here in town do a good on Southern dishes like Mr. T's BBQ, King BBQ, and Shingles Chicken House. There's also one particularly good Mexican joint called Los Compadres.

My city's known for steak and eggs for 3.99 (if not less).
Good luck finding that in this day and age. The classic Vegas cheap >$5 breakfast is going the way of the classic Vegas cheap buffet. The only place I can think of that has good cheap breakfasts is Careful Kitty's Diner inside the El Cortez in downtown proper.

The only food that I can call uniquely "Vegas" is the casino Shrimp Cocktail. Downtown Las vegas, at the southwest end of the fremont street experience, sits the Golden Gate casino, which has the world's finest $.99 shrimp cocktail. Served in a tall sunday glass with none of that lettuce garnish/filler foolishness of other, lesser, $.99 shrimp cocktails. If you want to to go all out, you can go with the even bigger $2.99 shrimp or crab cocktail. Sadly, it's one of the few remaining relics of a forgotten age.

We have notable food but Las Vegas is just too mixed up to have something as civilized as a regional specialty dish.

You can find some of the best lobster in the world here, and some of the best chowder (clam, corn, etc.)

Yes, I can honestly say that I'm jealous of your location, solely for that reason.

I'll chime in for Hawaii too.

Seafood of course, but more than that is Loco Moco and plate lunch.

Loco Moco = mound of white rice, hamburger patty, sunnyside or over easy egg topped with gravy.

Plate lunch = usually some sort of terriaki, or other entrees with rice and clog your arteries macaroni salad.

Plate lunch

That's some ono grind brah!

Oh... and don't forget the SPAM.

Shame on you for not mentioning the pastries known as Leonard's Bakery's malasadas :D (yeah, they're originally Portuguese, but you can't visit Honolulu and not have one)

Crabs.

Specifically steamed or in cake form. Both are SUPER good.

You know, I've never had one. That's on the list for next time.

You will not be disappointed, my friend. Imagine a ball of gooey dough absolutely covered in sugar (white or cinnamon). The fancy ones have chocolate or coconut cream inside.

I saw the place from the outside and I just knew it was going to be good... then I noticed their recommended in virtually every guide and their ads are everywhere.

Let me tell you, I was in Hawaii immediately after spending 1 month in China, and they are nothing like those buns :loco:

Not to say I disliked the Chinese buns, but I was definitely not in the mood for more of them... And the Chinese buns weren't covered in sugar (and they were "shinier" for lack of a better description).

Actually around here we eat Indian Tacos a lot. It's basicly a taco made on fry bread. Fry bread is a lot like the bread in a funnel cake.

Fish frys are also pretty big. When my family has a fish fry it's to dye for... fried fish, jalapenohushpuppies, cut in rolls not balls, and the greasiest damn fried potatoes you've ever seen. :drool_2:

On occasion, usually a Pow Wow, people cook a whole hog in a pit. I'm not much into this...
